Tooth pain can have many causes, including cavities, infection, injury, erupting teeth, or irritation of the gums. Because children may have difficulty describing exactly what they are feeling, an evaluation can help us identify the source of the discomfort.
At Little Roots, we’ll carefully evaluate your child’s tooth and surrounding tissues, help manage their discomfort, and explain the appropriate next steps. Treatment depends on the cause and may range from monitoring to restorative or other dental care.
If your child develops significant pain, swelling, fever, or symptoms that are getting worse, contact us promptly.
This page describes clinical care in general terms and is written for parents. It is not advice about your individual child.
