Behavior guidance is how we help children understand, cope with, and build confidence during dental care. There is no single approach that works for every child.
Depending on your child’s age, development, personality, and comfort, we may use child-friendly explanations, show them instruments before using them, offer choices, provide positive encouragement, or take extra time to build familiarity and trust.
At Little Roots, behavior guidance is never about expecting every child to behave the same way. It’s about understanding the child in front of us and helping them have the most positive experience possible.
This page describes clinical care in general terms and is written for parents. It is not advice about your individual child.
