When a routine screening, your child’s history, or something you’ve noticed at home raises a concern, we may recommend a more comprehensive airway and oral function evaluation.
This dedicated visit allows us to take a closer look at how your child breathes, rests their tongue and lips, chews, swallows, and uses the muscles of the mouth and face. We’ll also evaluate relevant oral structures and discuss sleep, breathing, feeding, habits, and other concerns that may be related.
Our goal is to understand the whole picture and determine the appropriate next step, which may include monitoring, treatment at Little Roots, or collaboration with another healthcare professional.
This page describes clinical care in general terms and is written for parents. It is not advice about your individual child.
