Feeling nervous about the dentist is common, and every child expresses anxiety differently. Some children tell us they are worried, while others may become quiet, hesitant, tearful, or have difficulty participating in care.
Children can also take cues from the adults they trust. We encourage families to use calm, positive, and simple language before dental visits and avoid sharing negative dental experiences that may unintentionally create worry.
At Little Roots, we’ll meet your child where they are, introduce experiences at an appropriate pace, and work with your family to build trust and confidence over time.
This page describes clinical care in general terms and is written for parents. It is not advice about your individual child.
