Little Roots Pediatric Dentistry, home

Sports and active play are an important part of childhood, but they can also put teeth at risk for injury. A properly fitting mouth guard helps cushion and protect the teeth, lips, cheeks, and surrounding structures during activities where dental injuries may occur.

At Little Roots, we can help determine what type of mouth guard is appropriate based on your child’s age, activity, dental development, and individual needs.

Because children’s mouths are constantly growing and changing, fit matters. We’ll also help you understand when it may be time to replace your child’s mouth guard as their teeth and smile develop.

This page describes clinical care in general terms and is written for parents. It is not advice about your individual child.
